Hennessy V.S.O.P is a fine blend of more than 40 different eaux-de-vie carefully selected from the premier growing areas of the Cognac region and chosen for their vivacious qualities.
Hennessey Cognac VSOP is a delicate blend of spices and woodnotes punctuated with the aroma of cloves and cinnamon, honey and suggestions of licorice. Smooth and supple on the palate, delicious for sipping after dinner.
In 1817, the future King George IV of England asked Hennessy to supply him with a very superior, old and pale cognac. By the end of the 19th century, V.S.O.P, as it had become known, had firmly established its reputation among the nobility. The product of a gradual blend of over 60 eaux de vie taken from the four leading vineyards in the Cognac region, V.S.O.P is slowly matured in old barrels from which most of the tannin has been extracted. A delicate blend of wood notes and spices, punctuated by the scent of cloves and cinnamon. Discreet, subtle and harmonious, it is characterized by a the fragrance of honey and a suggestion of liquorice.

| Tasting Notes | On the nose, the first fragrances perceived are soft spices such as vanilla, clove and cinnamon. Then delicate toasted notes follow, arising from the maturation in oak barrels. On the palate, the natural balance of strength and smoothness creates a harmonious blend in which maturity combines with vigour. The structure is softened by a suggestion of fresh grape character. The highlight of tasting Hennessy V.S.O.P is the long-lasting finish, revealing the natural balance of the blend – testament to a superior cognac. |
