Welding Steel Grid or Lattice Beam or Column

The steel grid steel structure is an open steel member which is composed of bearing flat steel and crossbar at a certain distance and fixed by welding or pressure lock. The crossbar is generally made of twisted square steel, round steel or flat steel. The material is normally carbon steel or stainless steel.

Lattice columns are composed of components with smaller sections, so they have lower dead weight than solid web columns under the same bearing capacity.

Steel structure are composed of three members: axial stress members, bending members and pressure bearing members. Of course, these three components can be specifically divided. Lattice member is the product of subdivision of axial stress member, which is defined as two or more members with the same cross section connected by fittings. As the name implies, the fittings are steel bar, steel plate and other small pieces.
