Product Description S-2 TOOL STEEL BALLS (ROCKBIT) S-2 Tool Steel Balls are hardened throughout and have unusually good wear characteristics. These balls are intended for applications that require extreme toughness and strength. They provide good service in withstanding the abrasion, high shock resistance, severe pressure impact, etc. We manufacture a complete line of Rockbit balls in various diameters. Rockbit Balls are designed for extreme ruggedness. The balls are made from S-2 tool steel and specially heat treated to provide excellent hardness and wear resistance combined with toughness and impact resistance to survive extreme shock loads found in the drilling industry. Applications: S-2 Tool Steel balls find most frequent use in oil field equipment and offshore drilling operations.They provide good service in withstanding the abrasion of pulverized rock and mud slurries. MATERIAL ANALYSIS S-2 Tool Steel (Rockbit) Balls are manufactured to the following chemical analysis: Chemical Analysis Carbon 0.47% to 0.55% Manganese 0.30% to 0.50% Silicon 0.90% to 01.10% Molybdenum 0.30% to 0.60% Phosphorus 0.030% maximum Sulphur 0.030% maximum Vanadium 0.5% maximum MECHANICAL PROPERTIES Hardness as measured on parallel flat surfaces is Rockwell "C"55-58.Ball of special hardness are available upon request. Tensile strength 310,000 psi Yield strength 290,000 psi Elongation in two inches 7% Reduction in area 25% Modulus of elasticity 30,000,000 psi Density 0.283 lbs./cu.in Production process Packing 1.Firstly we pack the balls in cartons. One type inside has two cartons. For each carton,  length: 22cm  width:17cm   height:10cm   Another type inside has four cartons: For each carton, length: 15cm  width:12cm   height:10cm    2.Then, we pack our balls using wooden pallet in our export business : 1).Put the plastic paper in the pallet(waterproof). The size of wooden pallet: 860mmm  800mm  750mm 2).Put the ball carton into the pallet ,and fix the pallet. 3).Hooping the pallet tightly using the steel rods About the outside carton: For each carton,   length: 37cm  width:25cm   height:11cm    Generally, if you don't want packing with our company's logo and name, we offer neutral packing. Quality Control Before packing, surface inspection will be made. First, all the finished products will be visually inspected two times.      After that, sample inspection is done each batch by visual inspection.
