ASTM A210 also covers minimum-wall-thickness, tubing sizes, boiler flues including safe ends, arch and stay tubes. ASTM A210 provides tensile and hardness properties but only applicable to certain size limitations. Material manufacturing shall be killed. Tubes shall be made by seamless process, marked as either hot-finished or cold-finished. Surface condition shall be specifically stated in the order. Chemical composition shall conform to the requirements. Elemental composition other than listed here shall not be permitted. Tension test, flattening test, flaring test, hardness test, hydrostatic or nondestructive electric test shall be made on specimens. Superheater tubes shall be formed without defects and shall withstand expansion, beading, forging, welding, and bending.

IMPROVED BOILER EFFICIENCY
Rifled tubes are used in heat exchangers and boilers to provide highly energy efficient means of heat transfer. The presence of the internal rifling induces centrifugal forces in the mass flow thereby separating the water from the steam fraction and forcing the water towards the tube wall.
SPECIFICATIONS AND GRADES
Rifle Tubes can be supplied against ASTM, ASME, A/SA 192, 209, 210 and 213 specifications and all associated grades.
Tubes can be supplied against equivalent specifications like EN 10216, DN 17175, BS 3059, JIS 3461 – 3462.
Tubes can be supplied to bath A and B type profiles. Detailed dimensions for each profile are given in the table.
