self adhesive bitumen tape

Self adhesive flashing tape is a sealing strip, surface with Aluminum or high density polyethylene and bitumen &SBS rubber backed sealing strip  It is a quick and effective method of sealing and repairing that produces a lasting protrction in all climates.

This easy to use, tough but flexible tape is suitable for general repairs and sealing use. It is weather proof and provides long lasting protection. Keep the water out!

Features:

The strength of the facing gives resistance to puncturing and the bitumen gives flexibility and adhesion but without the problems of slump.Designed for use as flashing on flat and pitched roofs, roof valleys, parapets and chimney stacks. Also ideal for sealing around RSJ's, flues, concrete columns, roof-lights, guttering and extractor vents.

Note: - In cold temperatures the tape will be harder to work with and not appear to stick as well as when warm or warmed.

Storage      

Store in a cool, dry place.(+5 dg C AND 25 dg C)

Overpainting

Flashing tape can be overpainted with conventional decorative paints, though a little staining many occur at the edges.
