What is SPC Vinyl Flooring?

Stone plastic composite vinyl flooring ( SPC Vinyl Flooring ) is considered to be an upgraded version of engineered vinyl flooring. SPC rigid flooring is set apart from other types of vinyl flooring by its uniquely resilient core layer. This core is made from a combination of natural limestone powder, polyvinyl chloride, and stabilizers. This provides an incredibly stable base for each flooring plank. You can’t tell that is what’s inside these floors once they’re installed. The floors look like any other engineered vinyl floors, with the core completely hidden underneath.

SPC Vinyl Flooring is becoming one of the most popular floors to install for a variety of reasons. If you are a homeowner, property manager or business owner, SPC vinyl flooring may be a great option.

Each SPC vinyl flooring is constructed with the following layers:

• UV Coating: This will enhance performance of stain resistance , anti-bacteria and water-proof avoids slips, falls, will make stain cleaning  easier.
• Wear-resistant Layer: This wear layer is the top UV coating on the vinyl floor that is transparent. It adds scratch and stain resistance to the vinyl plank. The wear layer thickness is 0.2mm / 0.3mm / 0.5mm / 0.7mm .
• Decoration Layer ( PVC Color Film ): Each SPC vinyl floor will have a thin layer of color PVC film attached to it. This layer will contain the pattern, texture and look of the floor.
• Rigid Core(SPC Core Layer: The SPC core is made by combining polyvinyl chloride resins, limestone powder and stabilizers to create a dimensionally stable and waterproof core. Rigid core thickness is 3.5mm / 4.0mm / 4.5mm / 5.0mm / 5.5mm / 6.0mm.
• Underlay ( Attached Underlayment ): SPC vinyl floors may or may not come with attached underlayment. These are usually included to help with sound reduction and add softness to the floor. The underlayment material are IXPE , EVA or CORK.
