Non-bitumen-based polymer self-adhesive film (pre-paved) waterproof membrane

Dry paving method
Base layer treatment: the base layer should be leveled, compacted and dried so that there are no sand streaks and honeycombed and pockmarked surfaces and so on; before work, the base layer should be checked against requirements and then cleaned and may be treated with a shot blasting machine if necessary.
Brushing base layer treatment agent: the base layer treatment agent should be brushed with a uniform thickness to ensure no white is exposed on surface layer. The next procedure can be carried out only after the base layer treatment agent dries completely. At the same time, the base layer treatment agent should be well protected to prevent construction workers from treading on repeatedly or prevent rainwater from contaminating the brushed surfaces.
Detail node treatment: enhancement treatment is required for parts such as internal and external corners, settlement joints, post-cast strip, pipe roots, water outfalls and eaves. When the temperature is low, the hot air welding torch or blast burner is used to heat the base surface or the membranes properly and then the membranes are paved. An additional layer of membranes should be fully bonded on the base layer for the common parts and those parts with concentrated stress such as separating seams may be border-adhibited.
Large-area application: in the case of large area application, the membranes should be paved along the snap line of the base surface and the isolating film should be removed upon completing paving; the overlapping parts should be compacted with compaction rollers and the closing end of the vertical surface should be treated with closing strip and then sealed with sealant.
Isolation layer protection: the membranes should be checked after being paved and then paved with an isolating layer such as a PE film, a bitumen felt or the like and then paved with a concrete protection layer.

Base layer treatment: the base layer should be leveled, compacted, and cleaned and be free from sand streaks, visible water; the dry base surface should be sprayed with water.
Preparing cement slurry: 32.5R ordinary Portland cement is mixed with water with the ratio of water and cement being 0.35-0.4 and then added with cement-specific adhesive powder and mixed while adding and the mixing time is 3-5 minutes and can be brushed on the base surface when the cement slurry has sticky effect.
Additional layer application: the cement slurry may be brushed with a roller brush or a scraper; after the base layer cement slurry is brushed, the isolating film on the surface of additional layer is removed and the cement slurry is coated on the self-adhesive layer and then the additional layer is paved.
Large-area application: the isolation film on the bottom surfaces of the membranes is picked up and then the membranes are paved while expelling air by moving scraper to the front and both sides. After completion, protection should be provided to avoid affecting material bonding due to repeated walks of persons.
Maintenance: after being paved, the membranes may be maintained for 48h (specific time is subject to specific ambient temperature at site);
Pre-paving method
Stress should be released for the membrane 10 minutes ahead of paving. The isolating film of the overlapping parts is removed and then the overlapping parts such as internal and external corners are compacted with compaction rollers. When the temperature is low, the membranes may be heated with a hot air welding torch or a blast burner.
Membrane overlapping and mechanical fixing: the membrane overlapping should be self-adhesive edge overlapping, the membranes should be mechanically fixed at a position 20mm from the edge of the membrane, the spacing should be 400-600mm and the mechanical fixing part should be covered with the next sheet of membrane.
Permanent protection wall treatment: border adhibiting method may be used for the permanent protection wall and good protection is provided to the surface layer. The cement slurry may be bonded to the self-adhesive waterproof layer by the galling method (for reinforced self-adhesive waterproof membranes) and then covered with the plywood and then steel reinforcements are bound. The plywood is removed before concrete is poured. The reserved connection parts should be protected well due to a long subsequent work period to avoid damage of the waterproof layer or removal of the isolation film and otherwise the subsequent bonding will be affected.
