Description:

4. Homogenization: The milk is passed through a homogenizer, which breaks down the fat globules to prevent cream separation.

5. Heat Treatment: The milk is then subjected to high temperatures (around 135-150 degrees Celsius) for a short period of time (2-6 seconds). This process kills any remaining bacteria and extends the shelf life of the milk.

6. Cooling: The milk is rapidly cooled after the heat treatment to bring it back to a safe temperature and stop further cooking.

7. Aseptic Packaging: The milk is aseptically packaged into sterilized containers, such as cartons or bottles, which are immediately sealed to prevent any contamination.

8. Storage and Distribution: The packaged UHT milk is stored in a cool and dry environment and then distributed to retailers and consumers.

It's important to note that UHT milk processing doesn't require any preservatives, as the high temperature treatment destroys all microorganisms that could cause spoilage.
