Higsoft®-BTMS90 is a behenyl (C22) cationic quaternary ammonium salt conditioning emulsifier. Since the quaternary ammonium salt accounts for about 90% of its activity, it brings a significant thickness to the emulsified formula paste. As a C22 methylsulfate quat, it is more hydrophobic in nature and more likely to deposit cationic positive ends and lipids on the hair than conventional C18 quats, providing better conditioning properties. At the same time, the hydrophobicity and deposition behavior of BTMS90 give the product excellent dry combability, excellent conditioning without the need for deposition with other polymeric quaternary ammonium compounds, and easy formulation application. It has a wide range of applications in hair care and skin care as a base emulsifier and conditioner.
